How do you collect the upgraded prototypes?
Hold Interact at each gun’s takeout machine so you and your partner both collect your upgraded tools.
You start this section together. Each of you needs to retrieve your own gun before you can open the way into the test room.
Take your gun
Go to your gun’s takeout machine and hold Interact to retrieve it. Have your partner collect theirs as well. Collecting the upgraded guns unlocks Double Time.
Open the test room
Once both guns have been taken, use the two-handled exit chain together. This opens the test room where you put the upgrades to work.

What changes with the upgraded guns?
The Hook Gun gains a second hook, and the Goop Gun can hold two goops.
These are changes to the tools you already know. Before treating the room like a repeat of your earlier visit, check what your upgraded gun can now do.

“I have two now. That's the difference.” That is the change to keep in mind when you return to familiar obstacles: the upgraded equipment gives you more to work with than the original tools.

How do you reach the Research and Development upgraded power link?
The return-visit circuit is in the test room reached after both players collect their upgraded guns and open the two-handled chain. With those tools collected, continue to the Research and Development upgraded power link for the circuit puzzle.

Both players need to sit in the monorail seats. Taking your seats starts the ride and ends this checkpoint; the next chapter begins when you arrive.
