Quick Answer
Match the glyphs, then relay the terminal's displayed code. In We Were Here Tomorrow, the Particle accelerator terminal needs power through your partner's connection before you can start matching symbols. Describe each displayed glyph precisely, then have your partner set the controls to the numbers you read, rather than copying a fixed code.
The Particle accelerator glyph panel, Particle accelerator sun symbols, and Particle accelerator three digit code refer to the symbol matching puzzle and its final number entry.
You reach this puzzle in the Particle Accelerator chapter. Connect the cable to your partner's mechanism to power the terminal before pressing its button to display the symbols.
Why is it called the glyph panel or sun symbols?
The glyph panel and sun symbols describe the same matching stage; the three digit code comes afterward.
- Particle accelerator glyph panel: You see a panel with many symbol choices. This name describes where you select the matching glyphs.
- Particle accelerator sun symbols: Some glyphs resemble suns, with a central circle and surrounding rays. This describes those glyphs correctly, but the panel also includes other shapes.
- Particle accelerator three digit code: You see numbers after completing the symbols. This is the number handoff, rather than another name for a sun glyph.
How do you solve the Particle accelerator glyph panel?
Have one player describe the four displayed glyphs in order while the other selects their exact matches on the symbol panel.
- Describe the center first. Say whether the circle is large or small, filled or hollow, and whether there is one dot or several.
- Describe the surrounding lines. For sun symbols, distinguish straight rays from curved rays. If they curve, specify clockwise or counterclockwise, then describe their length and spacing.
The symbol panel includes sun glyphs with different center sizes. Match the center as well as the rays.
Shown at 24:23 in The Backlog’s video.- Check the remaining details before selecting. For horn shapes, say whether the horns point up or down and whether their openings face inward or outward. For rings of small circles, say whether the circles connect. For crossing arrows, describe their number and direction.
- Finish the displayed sequence. Keep describing each glyph separately until the terminal gives you numbers to relay.
Similar suns and horn shapes are separate choices. If your partner sees two close matches, describe the difference before selecting: a small center, reversed curve, or separate circles can change which symbol you need. If a selection goes wrong, describe the displayed sequence again instead of continuing from memory.
How do you enter the Particle accelerator three digit code?
Read the terminal's displayed numbers to your partner in order, then set the three controls to match.
The terminal displays numbers after the glyph sequence. Read this display to your partner before they adjust the controls.
Shown at 25:45 in The Backlog’s video. Each control has five lights. Call out the first, second, and third number separately so your partner can check each setting.
| Display example | Control settings in order |
|---|---|
| 235 | 2, 3, 5 |
| 423 | 4, 2, 3 |
Follow your current display. Both 235 and 423 can appear, so treating either as a universal answer can leave you entering the wrong settings. With the matching numbers entered, the route opens.
This number handoff belongs to the symbol terminal. If you need the separate Particle Accelerator ring code, go to that puzzle's page.
