Quick Answer

Open the door by matching the revealed symbols to numbered rings and entering 415: small circles = 4, outward arrows = 1, overlapping striped and empty circles = 5. In We Were Here Tomorrow's Particle accelerator, hold the end handle to reveal the symbols while your partner checks the rotating rings.

This puzzle is in the Particle Accelerator chapter. Before you can match the symbols, one player needs to hold the handle at the end while the other inspects the rings.

How do you find the Particle accelerator ring symbols?

Look above the openings of the rotating rings, then read the number on each ring that matches your partner's symbol.

Hold the end handle

Keep holding the handle to reveal the symbols. Describe them in order: a ring of small circles, a circle with arrows pointing outward, then a striped circle overlapping an empty circle.

Check above each ring opening

Have your partner look above the openings rather than only at the buttons or ring numbers. The symbols are easy to miss as you walk around the rings. Match the symbol first, then report its ring number.

How do you solve the Particle accelerator rotating rings?

Match the symbols in their displayed order to rings 4, 1, and 5, then enter 415.

Match the ring of small circles to 4

The first symbol looks like small circles strung into a necklace. Your partner should report ring 4 for this match.

The ring with many small circles corresponds to number 4.

Match the outward arrows to 1

The second symbol is a circle with arrows pointing outward. Choose ring 1. Check the arrowheads carefully, because the inward-pointing version is a different symbol.

The outward-arrow target symbol corresponds to number 1.

Match the overlapping circles to 5

The third symbol combines a striped circle and an empty circle. Match the overlap carefully and choose ring 5. Simply spotting overlapping circles is not enough, since similar variants can lead you to the wrong ring.

The matching overlapping-circle symbol corresponds to number 5.

Enter 415 in that symbol order to open the door.

If you matched the overlapping circles to ring 2, check the striped and empty-circle overlap again. That mistaken match needs to be replaced with 5. For the middle symbol, confirm that the arrows point outward.

This is the Particle accelerator ring code. If you're in the Ring Corridor, go to the Ring 4-1-5 Sequence page for that puzzle.

After the door opens, continue with Office Area Control Room Access.
